Who is Jorik?

For a few years my family relocated to the DFW area in Texas and here is where I fell in love with wedding photography,
particularly the diverse cultures and locations that I got to work with and in.
I particularly enjoyed photographing "cross cultural" weddings, having worked with Indian, Ethiopian,
Nigerian as well as Vietnamese and Egyptian couples. What AMAZING experiences those were!!!!
Lake Tahoe always had my heart, so after the pandemic and my kids graduating high school, I moved back here...
And what a great decision.
It finally feels like I can breathe again. I was even blessed enough to reconnect with an amazing woman and we
got married here at our house in South Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2024.

Being back in South Lake Tahoe has given new meaning to my motto “Inspiration for life…”
In all my photography, I strive to let that be a central theme, capturing life and capturing moments that will cause
one to look back and be inspired to live more, to love more and appreciate those moments that made it all worthwhile.
My  Wedding Photography is a mix between spontaneous and editorial as I love to showcase the natural beauty of the area
combined with dramatic lighting and elegant poses and settings that bring out that ‘wow’ shot that every bride needs.
I love the opportunity to be creative, genuine and fun.
